Regulators
Regulators
A voltage regulator keeps the voltage constant that is discharged by the generator or alternator. If the generator voltage is less than the battery voltage, the regulator disconnects the generator from the battery to prevent the battery from being discharged by the regulator.
The generator regulators which are offered for classics are electronic regulators within a historic housing. The electronics make it possible to reliably control voltage and current free of wear. The onboard electrical system is thereby protected from overvoltage, and the generator is not overloaded. The battery is also kept from overheating.
The regulator housing is sealed against dust and pressure waterproof (according to IP69K) and can therefore also be mounted at an exposed location.
